We had our own Mass at this church and shrine. The altar is in front of the grotto where it is believed that Mary was visited by the angel Gabriel and told that she would conceive a child. You can see the opening of the cave/grotto behind Father Parham as he celebrates the Mass. It was one of my highlights of the trip!Also on the same property were the remains of what was believed to be Joseph's house in Nazareth, and a church was constructed over that spot.
